Internal Medicine MD or DO needed in San Mateo, CA!

Job description

Location: San Mateo, CA
Specialty: Internal Medicine
Start Date: 8/12/2024 (Open to starting earlier but must be available August-Nov)
Contract Length: 3 months, through mid-November. MUST be available for full duration, no RTO.
Shift Details: 8am to 5pm
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 32 hours per week. Must be okay rotating between clinics as needed within a close proximity to each other; hours may increase to 40 as the client integrates their new EMR and trains their perm staff.
Work Details:
· Support staff: 1-1 MA/provider support, RNs for chrronic care and triage, clerical support, mental health for warm hand offs, sociial work, and pharmacist.
· Patients per day: around 16 patients a day
· Patient population/age: Adult, Geriatric (broad mix of patient population)
· Department description: Internal Medicine
· EMR: eClinical Works (transitioning to EPIC)
· Hospital bed size: N/A
· Skills required: Pap smears and Basic STD Diiagnosis. Working with the low-income population. Bilingual in Spanish is super helpful but not required

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Yes, Internal Medicine
· License required: Yes, State of CA
· DEA: Yes
· CSR: Yes
· Certifications required: BLS
· Minimum experience required: minimum 1 year experience out of residency; candidates must have worked in outpatient/primary care setting consistently in the last 12 months. FQHC or community health experience is highly preferred.
Credentialing Timeframe: 5 weeks
