Position: Physician – General Surgery
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Length: 3 months (option to extend)

📅 Assignment Details
Schedule:
~2 weeks per month
~1 weekend per month (flexible)
Coverage Type: 24/7 call coverage to maintain trauma designation

Setting: Hospital
Environment: Trauma-supporting facility

Responsibilities Include:
Providing general surgery call coverage
Supporting trauma designation requirements
Managing acute surgical cases
🧠 Clinical Scope

Procedures Include:
Gallbladder / biliary disease
Hernia repairs
GI disorders (upper GI evaluations, biopsies, acute care treatment)
Skin/soft tissue procedures (lesions, cysts, lipomas)
Vascular access procedures (port placement for drug delivery)
👥 Ideal Candidate
Comfortable with broad-spectrum general surgery
Experience in acute care and trauma-support environments
Able to provide reliable call coverage

Board Certification: BC/BE General Surgery
License: Active state license required (please inquire)
DEA: Required
Experience: Relevant general surgery experience required

• 26 weeks with option to extend
• 24 hour call
