Trauma Surgeon needed in Denver, Coloado. Willing to license!

We are seeking a Board-Certified Trauma Surgeon for a locum opportunity at Denver Health Main Campus beginning September 1, 2025. This is a call-only role with weekend and night shift coverage. The facility guarantees a minimum 4-month contract, with likely extension to 6+ months. The schedule is flexible and can be tailored around your availability.

📅 Assignment Details:
Start Date: September 1, 2025

Contract Length: 4–6+ months (minimum 4 months guaranteed)

Shift Schedule:

Weekend Call: 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a); 24-hour call optional

Night Call: 4p–7a

At least 1 night/weekend call shift per week

Minimum commitment: 3 call shifts/month

Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days (temp privileges may be available)

🏥 Facility & Work Details:
Facility: Denver Health Main Campus

Setting: Academic hospital, Level 1 trauma center

EMR: Epic

Support Staff: Full nighttime resident consult team, APPs, and attending physicians

Consult Volume: 10–20 per 24-hour call period

Patient Population: Primarily adults; some pediatric phone coverage (not procedural)

Procedures: Bread-and-butter trauma and general surgery

✅ Requirements:
Board Certified in General Surgery and Critical Care (strongly preferred)

Active DEA

CO License: Not required to apply; open to licensing (IMLC accepted – 1 week turnaround)

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in trauma surgery

Interview Process: 1–2 Zoom interviews

💰 Compensation:
Daily Rate: Approx. $2,300/day

Call-Back Rate: $300–$400/hour

Night Call Beeper Fee: ~$400/night
(Rates are flexible depending on qualifications and availability.)
