Locum Colorectal Surgery Opportunity – Georgia
Job description
Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Colorectal or General Surgeon for locum coverage in Georgia. This opportunity offers a dynamic schedule with strong support and a well-established team.
📍 Job Highlights:
Robust Support System: You’ll be the sole MD on-site with backup available from 3 other physicians in the group (either in clinic or OR if needed). No APP support.
Structured Schedule with Manageable Call: Provide inpatient consults and ED coverage daily from 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, followed by call coverage (6:00 PM–7:30 AM). Weekend call is Friday 6 PM to Monday 7 AM. Call volume is low—typically 1–2 calls per night.
Comprehensive Procedure Mix: Includes colonoscopies, anoscopies, rectal surgeries, colon resections, polyps, inflammatory bowel cases, and pelvic organ prolapse.
📋 Job Details:
Practice Setting: In-hospital while on call
EMR: Epic
Daily Census: 12–15 patients (consults + procedures)
Hospital Size: 503 beds
Patient Population: Adults only
✅ Requirements:
Board Certification: Required in Colon & Rectal Surgery or General Surgery with proven proficiency in lower GI procedures
Licensure: Active GA license preferred. IMLC considered
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
Experience: Minimum 2–5 years preferred
🕒 Credentialing: ~120 days
