Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician Needed in CA

Job description

I have a client in San Mateo, CA seeking an experienced FM/IM physician for locum coverage starting in August. Please see a few details below:

~ 3 month assignment

~ Shifts/Schedules: 8am to 5pm
32 hours a week (4x8), Must be okay rotating between clinics as needed within a close proximity to each other. Hours may increase to 40 from August - September while the client is integrating their new EMR and training their perm staff.

~ Work Details:
·· Amount of coverage needed per month: Monday through Thursday
· Patients per day: around 16 patients a day
· Patient population/age: Adult, Geriatric (broad mix of patient population)
· EMR: eClinical Works (transitioning to EPIC)
· Skills required: Pap smears and Basic STD Diagnosis. Working with the low-income population. Bilingual in Spanish is super helpful.

~ Clinic

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Yes, Internal Medicine and/or Family Practice
· License required: Yes, State of CA
· DEA: Yes
· CSR: Yes
· Certifications required: BLS
· Minimum experience required: minimum 1 year experience out of residency; candidates must have worked in outpatient/primary care setting consistently in the last 12 months. FQHC or community health experience is highly preferred.

Credentialing Timeframe: 5 weeks
