Neonatologist Opportunity – Maryland | PRN Coverage
Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to provide PRN coverage in a Level III NICU in Maryland. This role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to provide critical neonatal care during a high-demand period.
Position Highlights
Flexible Coverage: PRN shifts (12–24 hours) with priority need for last 2 weeks of December.
High-Acuity NICU: Level III NICU, census 22–24, 3,500 deliveries/year; Nitric, high-frequency ventilation, and simple neonatal surgeries (e.g., hernia repair).
Collaborative Environment: 2 neonatologists on during the day, 1 at night; Epic EMR and supportive hospital setting.
Position Details
Shifts: 12- or 24-hour shifts; PRN coverage.
Setting: Hospital-based Level III NICU.
Census: 22–24 NICU patients; ~3,500 deliveries/year.
Procedures: Intubations, umbilical lines, resuscitation; no NIB certification required.
Call: None required.
EMR: Cerner.
Requirements
Board Certification: Neonatology (required).
Licensure: Active Maryland license required (IMLC not accepted; no licensing support).
Certifications: NRP, DEA, CDS.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Level III NICU (must be recent).
Credentialing: 60–90 days.
