Hematology/Oncology Physician – Flexible Monthly Schedule – Rhode Island

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to provide part-time inpatient and outpatient coverage. This flexible opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to maintain work-life balance while supporting a dedicated team in a well-established practice.

Position Overview:

Outpatient Clinic:

3 days per week

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Patient volume: 18–22 patients/day

Inpatient Rounding:

Daily rounding based on consult volume

Typically 1–2 hours/day

Procedures:

Biopsies as needed

EMR:

80% paper-based

20% Meditech EMR

Candidate Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology

Available for 1–2 weeks of coverage per month

Comfortable with both inpatient and outpatient care

Proficient in performing bone marrow biopsies and managing complex oncology/hematology cases

Flexible and collaborative approach to care in a hybrid documentation environment
