Hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) in Arizona
Job description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team in creating a safe operating environment.
Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and respond to changes promptly and effectively.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the patient’s medical record.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure seamless care delivery.
Participate in surgical safety protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program (Bachelor’s preferred).
Current Arizona RN License (or Compact State License).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
1–2 years of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience (preferred).
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile techniques.
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay calm and focused in high-stress situations.
Effective communication and collaboration within a surgical team.
