6-Month CRNA Contract | Level I Trauma | Academic Center | Epic EMR

Job description

We are seeking an experienced CRNA for a 6-month full-time locum tenens assignment at a large academic Level I Trauma Center. This is a high-acuity, high-volume environment ideal for CRNAs looking to expand or utilize advanced clinical skills while working alongside anesthesiologists in a team-based model.

This position requires full-time availability and flexibility across multiple shift types.

Schedule & Commitment

Contract Length: 6 months (required)

Full-Time Only

Available Shifts:

5x8s

4x10s

3x12s

Shift Times:

7a–3p

7a–5p

9a–9p (New Haven location)

Providers must be willing to work any 3 days per week (including Fridays)

Weekend availability preferred as needed

Cannot guarantee 12-hour shifts only

Clinical Practice

Practice Setting: Academic / Teaching Hospital

Trauma Level: Level I

Hospital Size: 1,500+ beds

Patients Per Day: 10–12

EMR: Epic

Care Team Model: CRNAs working alongside anesthesiologists

Case Mix (High Acuity)

CRNAs must be comfortable with all major surgery types, including:

General Surgery

Orthopedics

Cardiovascular

Neurosurgery

Gastrointestinal

Urologic

Gynecologic

Ophthalmologic

ENT

Healthy Pediatrics

Requirements

Board Certified CRNA (required)

Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience (required)

DEA required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Licensure: Open to candidates needing state licensure

Background: Clean malpractice and licensure history required

Credentialing

Timeline: Approximately 120 days

References: Physician references required from all prior CRNA practice locations

Weekly contract incentive for initial 6-month term
