Job Summary:
A qualified CRNA Clinical Director manages nurse anesthesia and related peri-anesthesia services. They develop and interpret organizational policies for budgets and personnel, ensure the safe and proper operation of equipment, techniques, and procedures, and evaluate activities to maintain quality patient care. They hold 24-hour accountability for leading and managing the department’s human resources, clinical, financial, and administrative operations to continuously improve patient care quality and create a healthy workplace in collaboration with organizational leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.
• Knowledgeable about controlled substance policies per federal and state laws.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in nurse anesthesia.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
Skills:
• Ability to understand, lead, and motivate personnel.
• Strong organizational and goal-setting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
• Board certified, recertified, or eligible by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or AHA-approved cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• AHA-approved Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as required by the institution.
• Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal.
Licensure Notes:
• Must have current licensure in the state where the facility is located or a multistate license if covered by the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC).
• If changing residency to the state where the facility is located, must apply for licensure within 60 days.
