*HIRING ACTION IS CONTINGENT UPON SUCCESSFUL AWARD OF CONTRACT
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer various forms of anesthesia, including spinal, epidural, bier block, axillary block, and general anesthesia.
• Provide obstetrical anesthesia, including labor epidurals, for scheduled, urgent, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout anesthesia administration and surgical procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients for anesthesia.
• Manage fluid therapy and perform post-anesthesia evaluations, ensuring a smooth recovery process.
• Consult with anesthesiologists and attending physicians regarding complex or adverse patient responses.
• Take appropriate action in emergency situations, following established protocols and directives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in administering a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, and IV anesthesia.
• Familiarity with managing anesthesia during obstetrical and surgical procedures.
• Ability to quickly assess patient needs and respond appropriately to emergencies and/or complications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing teams, and patients.
• Accurate maintenance of patient records and monitoring anesthesia equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance for anesthesia machines and monitors.
• Ability to use Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, such as the Composite Health Care System (CHCS).
• Familiarity with CDC infection control guidelines and OSHA safety protocols.
• Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress environments, such as emergency surgeries.
• Capable of working extended shifts while maintaining focus and precision.
• Ability to meet continuing education requirements necessary to maintain licensure and certification throughout the duration of the contract.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing (MSN).
• Graduate of an anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Have and maintain certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetist.
• Have and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Valid, unencumbered state license, with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions, in any state in the United States, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ experience providing epidural anesthesia (labor epidurals) in the past twelve (12) months.

WORK HOURS & SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
• Shifts will be eight (8), twelve (12), sixteen (16), or twenty-four (24) hour increments, including weekends and holidays, averaging 40 hours a week, with potential overtime based on operational needs.
• Shift schedules will be provided forty-five (45) days prior to the beginning of each quarter, with final monthly updates submitted thirty (30) days before the start of the month.
• Availability to respond to critical situations and extend shifts as needed to support patient care.
