Job description

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in a well-established ambulatory surgery center. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team environment with a consistent weekday schedule and no call responsibilities.

Position Overview
Specialty: Anesthesiology
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (target early July)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension or permanent placement
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: None
Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
Practice Setting
Ambulatory Surgery Center
6 operating rooms (typically 4 running daily, with a 5th as needed)
Team-oriented environment with strong collaboration between surgical and anesthesia staff
Clinical Details
Case Volume: Approximately 20–30 cases per day
Patient Population: Adult (no OB)
Procedures: General anesthesia with a focus on regional anesthesia, including blocks
EMR: Hybrid (electronic and paper charting)
Team Structure
Supervision model with 1 Anesthesiologist overseeing 4–5 CRNAs
Approximately 20 surgeons across multiple specialties
Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
DEA required
Strong regional anesthesia skills
Comfortable supervising CRNAs
Additional Information
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days
