Anesthesiology MD Locum Need in Florida

Position Overview
• Specialty: Anesthesiology
• Provider Type: MD or DO
• Start Date: July 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Practice Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Locums to Perm: Preferred for the right candidate
• Clinical Scope:
o Supervision of CRNAs
o Strong emphasis on regional anesthesia, including blocks
o Adult patient population only (no OB)
• Department Overview:
o 6 ORs total, typically 4 running daily with a 5th as needed
o Collaborative surgical and anesthesia team environment
• Patient Volume: 20–30 cases per day
• Support Staff:
o 4–5 CRNAs supervised by 1 anesthesiologist
o Approximately 20 surgeons

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Coverage Need: Weekly coverage
• Call: None
• Guaranteed Time: 40 hours per week

Provider Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• Licensure: Active Florida license required
• DEA: Required
• Skills Required:
o Strong regional anesthesia skills
o Ability to supervise CRNAs
