Job description

About the facility

A hospital and ASC are seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the facility location

The facility is located in St. Peters, MO.

About the clinician's workday

The position may require floating to an additional site. The cases include a wide range of specialties, such as general surgery, orthopedics, total joints, urology, podiatry, endoscopy, lungs, blocks, and healthy pediatrics (ENT), with some eye cases. There are no hearts, heads, trauma, or OB cases. Endoscopy is performed in a non-OR location, though it's close to the OR. Rare sedation with MRI may be required, along with occasional TEE's and cardioversions. The position is medically supervised (not medically directed), and the facility uses the EPIC EMR system. The three most common blocks performed are spinals, adductor canal blocks, and interscalene blocks. Both CRNAs and anesthesiologists perform blocks, so if a candidate does not perform blocks, they will still be considered.
