A skilled Anesthesiologist is sought for a locum tenens assignment in a modern ambulatory surgery center. This position offers a highly flexible, part-time schedule with short, predictable days and a low-acuity case mix—ideal for providers seeking work-life balance.

Position Overview
Specialty: Anesthesiology
Start Date: Mid-June or as soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with ongoing potential
Schedule: Recurring monthly coverage
Shift Hours: Typically 7:00 AM start, with most days ending late morning to early afternoon
Call: None
Schedule Details
Coverage runs from the first Tuesday of each month through approximately the third week
Majority of days are shorter shifts
Two full-length days per month dedicated to urology cases
Remaining days conclude once cases are completed
Practice Setting
Ambulatory Surgery Center (modern, recently established)
Highly efficient, low-volume environment
Fully equipped with emergency and safety protocols in place
Clinical Details
Case Types:
IVF retrievals (typically 1–4 per day, up to 6 max; short duration cases)
Hysteroscopies
Occasional D&C procedures
Anesthesia Type: Monitored anesthesia care (MAC), including propofol-based sedation
Patient Population: Low-risk patients with minimal complications historically
Work Environment
Streamlined workflow with predictable case durations
Minimal complexity and low patient acuity
Supportive clinical staff and efficient case turnover
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Active state medical license required
Comfortable with MAC sedation techniques
Experience in ambulatory settings preferred
