Contract Length: 26 Weeks (6 Months) with option to extend
Shift Details: 5 x 12-hour shifts
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 6 PM, with weekend call rotation working either Saturday or Sunday.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for a 26-week contract with the potential to extend. This role is for the day shift at a Level II Trauma hospital.

Responsibilities:

Supervising CRNAs in every case (typically supervising up to 3 CRNAs, with a maximum of 4 on rare occasions)
Managing a patient load of 1000 cases per month, with daily variations and a team of 5 Anesthesiologists on duty each day
Providing anesthesia care for a variety of cases including OB, ortho, hearts (preferred but not required), brain, abdominal or chest trauma, MVAs, bullet wounds, and stab wounds
Support and Work Environment:

Support staff includes CRNAs for every case
Working in a 318-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma designation
Utilizing Cerner EMR system
Patient Population:

Adult and some pediatric patients
Requirements:

Board Certification in Anesthesiology
Minimum 2 years of experience in Anesthesiology
BLS certification
DEA license required
Willing to license if not currently holding a state license
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
