Ongoing Need • In-House Call • High-Acuity Hospital Practice

A large, high-volume Level I Trauma Center in the Reading metro area of Pennsylvania is seeking three board-certified Anesthesiologists for an ongoing locum tenens assignment.
This opportunity is ideal for generalist anesthesiologists with recent acute-care hospital experience who can provide consistent weekday coverage and in-house call.

Assignment Overview
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Openings: 3 FTE Anesthesiologists

Schedule Options:
4x10-hour weekday shifts
In-house weekday night and weekend call

Minimum Availability:
At least 2 weeks per month ongoing
Must be available for some Fridays (required)
Setting: Inpatient & outpatient hospital-based practice
Trauma Level: Level I
EMR: Epic (experience required)

Facility Snapshot
720-bed hospital
24 operating rooms
Approx. 50 cases per shift
Adult and pediatric patients (ages 1+)
Strong multidisciplinary support team including anesthesia techs, nursing staff, NPs, and administrative support
Clinical Scope

Case Types Include:
General surgery
Complete orthopedics
Complex vascular
Neuro
Head & spine
OB
Pediatrics
Thoracic
Regional anesthesia

Important Notes:
Generalist support only — no cardiac coverage required
Open-heart cases are not part of this assignment
Sedation-only providers will not be considered

Requirements
MD/DO – Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC eligibility
ACLS, BLS, PALS required
Recent experience in acute-care hospitals (ASC-only background will not be considered)
Comfortable with in-house call coverage
Clean malpractice history and NPDB required

Must clearly outline:
Monthly availability
Willingness for in-house call
Epic EMR experience

Credentialing
Temporary privileges available
Credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days
