About the clinician's workday

The site staffs eight anesthesiologists and thirty CRNAs per day, supporting 34 operating rooms and an annual volume of roughly 29,000 OR cases and 6,100 deliveries. Credentialing takes about 45 days, with an ASAP start once approved, and the contract runs for six months with the option to extend. The schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with no weekends and no call, working under a medicaldirection model. The case mix includes approximately 30% orthopedics, 16% general surgery, 14% urology, 9% neuro/spine, 8% GYN, 5% cardiology, and 5% endoscopy/gastric. Physicians perform epidurals for OB but do not do spinals or blocks, and regional anesthesia skills are helpful. The facility uses Cerner for charting.
