Job description

A high-volume acute care hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with cardiac experience for a locum tenens assignment. This role includes both scheduled daytime clinical work and beeper call coverage in a high-acuity cardiac environment.

Assignment Details

Schedule: Mix of weekday and weekend coverage
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Call Coverage: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (beeper call required)
Scheduled clinical shifts with required call coverage

Practice Environment

Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Focus: Cardiac anesthesia with additional general surgical coverage
Care Model: Medically supervised anesthesia model
Supportive team in a high-acuity, hospital-based environment

Cardiac anesthesia (primary focus)
Orthopedics
Neurosurgery
General surgery
Gynecology
Urology
Interventional radiology

Requirements

Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Cardiac anesthesia experience required
Active Texas medical license required
BLS certification required
Willingness to participate in call coverage
Experience in high-acuity hospital settings preferred

Additional Information

Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days
