A high-acuity acute care hospital is seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment. This role includes a mix of daytime clinical coverage, in-house call, and OB-proficient anesthesia support within a collaborative hospital setting.

Assignment Details

Start Date: June 2026
Schedule: Variable weekday and weekend coverage
Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Call Coverage: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (beeper call required)
Combination of scheduled clinical shifts, OB coverage, and call responsibilities
Includes both weekday and weekend coverage needs

Practice Environment

Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Care Model: Medically supervised anesthesia model
Trauma Designation: Level III/IV
Supportive team in a busy hospital-based environment
EMR: Not specified

Case Mix

Orthopedics
Neurosurgery
Gynecology
Urology
General surgery
Interventional radiology
OB anesthesia coverage required for select assignments

Requirements

Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active Texas medical license required
BLS certification required
OB proficiency required for in-house call responsibilities
Experience in hospital-based anesthesia strongly preferred
