Locum Anesthesiologist needed to start ASAP and work ongoing near Stevensburg, VA

Job description

• Schedule: 10 or 11 Hour shifts.
• All cases: OB, epidurals, spinals and general anesthesia for emergency c-sections, Ortho, Spine surgery- cervical, thoracic and lumbar cases, healthy pediatrics.
• No cardiac, transplants, high risk pediatrics or heads.
• CRNA Supervision on your own cases unless you are on call then you would supervise the CRNAs and see all cases and add-ons during the day supervision.
• Supervision: 3:1, 2:1.
• OT may occur.
• No Call.
• 5 on site but we typically run only three anesthetizing locations daily.
• On emergency cases the call doctor will start the case and the CRNAs will be unsupervised until a case comes down.
• Practice Model for each location.
• 4 FT physicians for coverage but we will have 2 at the end of January.
• Paper Charting.
• Credentialing: 60 - 90 days.
