CV Surgery APP Needed in Germantown, TN

Duration: 13-week assignment
Travel: Yes

Schedule:

* 10-hour night shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
* 4 shifts per week (typically Monday night–Thursday night, ending Friday morning)
* No scheduled weekends unless needed

Overview:
Night Cardiac Surgery APP role providing high-acuity, autonomous care under the supervision of a cardiac surgeon. Coverage includes CVICU, step-down, and telemetry units, ensuring overnight continuity of care and rapid response to clinical changes.

Patient Population:

* Adult post-operative cardiac surgery patients (CABG, valve, aortic repairs, etc.)
* Occasional urgent/emergent pre-operative cardiac cases

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage admissions, rounding, and overnight care (hemodynamics, vents, drips, anticoagulation)
* Order and interpret labs, imaging, and EKGs
* Respond to codes and manage complications (arrhythmias, bleeding, stroke, sepsis)
* Perform procedures as privileged (lines, chest tubes, pacing wires, etc.)
* Coordinate care and provide handoffs with multidisciplinary teams

Expectations:

* High level of autonomy with appropriate escalation
* Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork
* On-site coverage for full shift
* Adherence to quality and safety standards

Requirements:

* 3+ years of CT surgery or critical care experience preferred
* Board Certified (ACNP or PA)
* Active BLS/ACLS
* Must complete full privileging
* 1–2 week orientation (mix of day/night shifts)
