Locum Tenens Cardiology Opportunity – Pennsylvania

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Pennsylvania. This assignment offers a balanced mix of clinic, procedures, and call responsibilities within a supportive hospital environment. Providers who are not currently licensed in Pennsylvania but are willing to obtain licensure are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview:
Start Date: May 2026

Schedule: Weekday clinic hours with additional call coverage
Coverage Need: Approximately 1 week per month plus weekend call but flexible


Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide general cardiology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Perform procedures including stress tests, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Interpret nuclear studies and cardiac monitoring
Average patient volume: 17–18 patients per day
Participate in scheduled call coverage with rounding responsibilities

Preferred Skills:
Experience with CT reads is a plus

Support & Environment:
Collaborative team with physician and APP support
Established cardiology program with structured workflow
EMR system: Epic

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain (IMLC accepted)
DEA required
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
