General Cardiology Locum sin West Virginia - Willing to License

Job description

Shift Details: 24-hour shifts

Schedule: 7am – 7am

Work Details:

· Amount of coverage needed per month: At least 1 week/month

· Patients per day: 6-20

· Department description: Cardiology department covering the hospital and office/clinic coverage

· EMR: Cerner

General Cardiology: Hospital and Office

In-Office Responsibilities:

Evaluation and management of new and established patients
Cardiac risk assessments
Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Holter monitor placements
Pacemaker check clinic
Hospital Responsibilities:

Patient rounding
Supervision of echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testing
Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Cardioversions
Hospital Call:

Includes patient rounding and consultations
24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), averaging 6-10 patients per day
Minimal nighttime phone calls, with rare instances requiring in-hospital visits
Emergency cases will either be admitted if deemed appropriate or stabilized for transfer
