Cardiologist needed in West Virginia

Specialty: Cardiologist (Hospital and Office Coverage)
Start Date: 6/2/25
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: 24 hour shifts
Schedule: 7am – 7am
Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Full-time
• Patients per day: 6-20
• Department description: Cardiology department covering the hospital and office/clinic coverage
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital bed size: 122
General Cardiology: Hospital and Office

In-Office Responsibilities:
• Evaluation and management of new and established patients
• Cardiac risk assessments
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Holter monitor placements
• Pacemaker check clinic

Hospital Responsibilities:
• Patient rounding
• Supervision of echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testing
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Cardioversions

Hospital Call:
• Includes patient rounding and consultations
• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), averaging 6-10 patients per day
• Minimal nighttime phone calls, with rare instances requiring in-hospital visits
• Emergency cases will either be admitted if deemed appropriate or stabilized for transfer

• Board Certification: required

• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90
