Medical ICU NP (MICU) Needed in San Francisco, CA

Job description

Will work the following units: MICU

• # of patients per day: Varied
• Hospital bed size: 87 in the ICU
• Support staff: Day: Attending is already on staff. Night: APP only, attending is at home, but there is a critical care fellow 24/7. There are other attendings on staff as well, but they are available to assist. Open structure critical care, very collaborative, co-management model with the surgical & neuro services.
• Skills required: Central lines, arterial lines, moderate sedation, intubation assistance. In-house staff to assist where needed. Intubation is not required but should be able to recognize when needed. Complex vent and sedation management. Responsible for codes in the unit along with the rest of the entire team.
• Board Certification: Yes

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENLS (Emergency Neurological Life Support)
• Minimum experience required: min 2yrs recent relevant experience in any of the critical care practices, including neuro, SICU, medical ICU, and/or CVICU
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 Days
