Job description

Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Needed Near Towson, MD
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (ASAP start preferred)
Credentialing timeframe: Standard hospital credentialing
Contract Length: 6‑month contract (Locum Tenens – 1099); potential option to extend

Schedule

Day shifts only
12‑hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Full‑time schedule
Rotating schedule:

3 × 12s one week
4 × 12s the following week


No call
No pediatrics


Practice Details

Hospital-based Critical Care / ICU
Physician-led, team-based ICU model
EMR: Cerner
Average daily census: ~10 patients
Adult and geriatric patient population
Rapid response and code team participation


Clinical Scope

Inpatient critical care coverage
Responsibilities include:

ICU and intermediate care management
Ventilator management
High-acuity inpatient medicine
Rapid response and code coverage
Daily rounding and coordination with care teams




Requirements

Nurse Practitioner – Critical Care
Board Certified in Critical Care
Active Maryland NP license required
Maryland CSR required
Certifications required:

ACLS
BLS


Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience required
Clean background required


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing required
Provider must be fully cleared prior to start
