Job description

We have an urgent need for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a new MICU unit in Pittsburgh, PA, starting as soon as credentialed (late February/early March).

📋 Practice Details:
Specialty: Critical Care NP or PA
Schedule: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Block scheduling available
Minimum: 8 shifts/month (Ideal: 12 shifts/month)

Length: February – June 2026
Call: None
EMR: EPIC
Reason for Coverage: Service line expansion for new unit
Procedures: Arterial lines, central lines, dialysis catheters, codes, new admissions
Responsibilities: Manage critically ill patients overnight in MICU
Support: Tele-ICU + supervising physician in-house at night

Certifications:
Board Certified NP (Acute Care) or PA
ACLS, BLS, Active DEA

Licensure: Active Pennsylvania license required
Credentialing: 3–4 months (network committee approval)
Misc: PA Child Abuse clearance & fingerprints required
Secondary Location: Hospital

✅ Ideal Candidate:
Recent ICU procedural experience
Able to commit to at least 8 shifts/month
Comfortable working solo overnight with physician backup
