Job description

A large academic health system in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in its Pediatric Cardiac ICU. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA with pediatric cardiac ICU skills to join a high-acuity unit at a Level 1 trauma center.

The 25-bed cardiac ICU primarily cares for post-operative patients, including neonatal surgeries, VAD patients, and potential heart transplant cases. Night shift coverage runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with in-house cardiac ICU physician backup overnight. Minimum availability of 7-10 shifts per month is required, with coverage needed immediately through fall/winter 2026.

Requirements include PA licensure with Pediatric Acute Care APRN certification and pediatric cardiac ICU experience. The facility uses EPIC EMR. No call responsibilities. Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days.
