Job description

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a BC Dermatologist in Butner, NC for a Backup Dermatologist role to start as soon as possible.

Scope: General dermatology services focus on diseases of the skin, nails, and hair. Specific factors in the prison environment may contribute to skin disease in this population, including stress, histories of smoking, substance addiction, and personal hygiene. High-volume transplant organization and at times biopsies may need to be completed to support the transplant patient needs. This is a high-volume on-site clinic, and continued clinic coverage is vital to both health in the institution and the reduction of unnecessary offsite clinic visits.

Qualifications:
All MDs must be Board Certified
License in State Required
Must be US Citizen

Schedule
Dermatologist (1 Day per month), backup role right now
· Hours: Between 7am and 4:30pm (somewhat flexible); M-F no weekends, federal holidays or call required

· Security Measures:
What is not allowed onsite: Smart watches, cell phones, anything glass, chewing gum, etc. Providers are permitted to pack a lunch, bring in water and other beverages as long as plastic or metal is used.
Contractors will never supervise inmates (there are always Bop staff present who provide supervision, including RNs, though they may not be in the treatment room with the provider unless there is a security concern.
During a lockdown, patient movement will be impacted (patients will be unable to attend appointments during lockdown), though providers have never been unable to leave during a lockdown over our 20 years at the facility).
All providers are issued radio with body alarm in case of emergency, and every office doctors work in will have a desk phone.

Nursing support as needed from RNs (including supporting with acquisition of materials and tools), but no direct support persons assigned (staff will be in and out).
