Eckerd Connects is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Residential Academy in Yanceyville, NC. About the Role:
The RN provides professional health services to youth in our residential program, including sick call, medical assessments, daily triage of injuries and illnesses, medication administration, health education, and coordination of medical care. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of youth through high-quality, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct regular medical assessments and respond to daily health needs.
-Monitor, document, and administer prescribed medications; maintain accurate logs and medication sheets.
-Manage the “Controlled Drug Book” and ensure compliance with medical standards.
-Communicate with treatment teams and advise staff on health-related needs.
-Transport clients to appointments as needed.
-Participate in treatment team meetings and support overall wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:
-Registered Nurse Diploma or Degree required.
-Must hold and maintain current RN licensure in North Carolina.
-Minimum two years of experience in school, correctional, doctor’s office, camp, industrial, or public health settings preferred.
-Pediatric/adolescent care experience preferred.

Working knowledge of child/adolescent illness and CPR certification required.

About Our Residential Academy:
Eckerd Connects’ Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program serves up to 40 adjudicated male youth (ages 13–17) referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Our program integrates education, counseling, and community service in a structured environment that helps youth rebuild their futures through evidence-based care and family engagement.
