Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our healthcare team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing anesthesia care across various patient populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia safely and effectively to patients undergoing surgical or diagnostic procedures.
Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration, including reviewing medical history and current medications.
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the procedure, ensuring safety and comfort.
Manage airway during procedures, utilizing advanced airway management techniques as necessary.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans.
Provide pain management solutions for patients post-procedure, ensuring effective recovery.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to anesthesia practice.
Uphold NCQA standards in all aspects of patient care and documentation.
Skills
Critical care experience with a strong background in ICU nursing is preferred.
Proficiency in anesthesiology practices and techniques.
Experience with patient monitoring equipment and vital signs assessment.
Knowledge of geriatric and pediatric care considerations.
Strong skills in medication administration and experience administering injections.
Familiarity with Epic or other EHR systems for effective medical documentation.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
