Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner Needed in California
Target Start Date: March 2, 2026
Contract Length: 26‑week locum tenens assignment (with potential extension)

Schedule
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8‑hour day shifts)
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only
Call: None
Full‑time requirement: Yes

Practice Details
Setting: Outpatient integrative health and gastroenterology clinic
Patient Volume: ~10–12 adult patients per day
Support Staff:

1 Gastroenterology physician

Additional APPs onsite (not directly GI‑focused)

Department Scope:
The NP will manage:

Patient intake and histories

Evaluations and follow‑up visits

Prescriptions and treatment planning

Referrals

Interpretation of tests, procedures, and radiographic studies

EMR: Epic

Requirements
Board Certification: Required

License: Active California license required (not willing to license)

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS

Minimum Experience:

2 years in integrative health or

2 years recent gastroenterology experience

Credentialing Timeframe: 30–45 days

Travel
Travel support available; nearest airports include:

Santa Ana (SNA)

Los Angeles (LAX)

All‑inclusive travel support may be available depending on assignment details.

Location
Irvine, California – Outpatient clinic environment within an integrative health setting; local or travel candidates welcome
