Gastroenterology Locums – Arkansas (Weekend Call)

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Arkansas providing weekend call coverage at a well-established hospital.

Position Details:

Coverage: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

Frequency: 1 weekend per month

Patient Census: 1–2 patients per day

Patient Population: Adults & Adolescents

Support Staff: RN support

Clinical Responsibilities:

Inpatient rounding

Endoscopies

Management of GI bleeds

Evaluation and treatment of general GI conditions

This is a low-volume call opportunity ideal for local providers seeking supplemental weekend coverage work.

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Active Arkansas medical license (required)

Local Arkansas provider required

Active DEA

Must be comfortable with inpatient GI call coverage

• One weekend/month
• Endoscopies, GI bleeds, evaluation of GI problems. Some inpatient rounding
• AR license required. Local preferred
