Northern Indiana - Near South Bend/Notre Dame- Gastroenterology
Training: Physician is expected to be trained in diagnosis and treatment of upper and lower G.I. endoscopies. ERCP preferred.
Caseload Averages: Daily office visits = 18+, Average procedures monthly = 100-125
Office: Business hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mon-Thursday, 8:00AM to 12 Noon Friday.
ED Call Rotation: 1 in 4. Full time hospitalist program at the Hospital.
Residency/ Fellowships: Minimum of Board Eligible for GI and GI Fellowship done at a U.S. University Center.
Number of existing physicians in specialty: 3 = (2) Clinic, (1) Hospital employed
Clinic: Shared reception checking/appointment staff, dedicated Clinic nursing staff, 8 patient rooms shared by rotating schedule between 3 physicians for patient visits.
Group environment: Located next to main Clinic building. Ownership opportunity with partnership of Clinic/Endo Center. 2 General Anesthesia OR's, stereotactic image guided system, full instrumentation, 22 pre/post patient bed areas w/2 private rooms, 12,000 square foot facility opened June 2004, 2 fully equipped GI suites, Summit documentation system, GE Centricity integrated EMR, Fujinon Video HD equipment and Minntech Medivators scope sterilizer, code team and crash cart. Elective upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy done at ASC. Fully trained GI technicians, on-site MRI, CT, C-arm, 2 Minor procedure rooms for Pain management. Full MRI, 8 channel CT scanner, nuclear, ultrasound and high complexity laboratory on-site.
Description of Hospital environment (as it applies to your specialty): 23 ICU beds, full time Hospitalist program, Endoscopy Suite. ER Trauma level II, Radiology and Lab available 24 hours a day, 40 beds in intermediate care unit. Additional information available upon request."
