Facility:
This hospital is a well-established healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical services to the Lexington community. The facility features dedicated inpatient gastroenterology services with 3 APPs supporting the GI department, offering excellent collaborative care and professional support for both endoscopy procedures and floor/ED consultations.

Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage including inpatient coverage, rounding, and inpatient procedures
• Handle 10 admissions per night with 10-20 patients per day
• Perform bread and butter inpatient GI procedures and consultations
• ERCP experience is required - this is a critical requirement
• Provide ED call coverage and consultations
• Work with Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with 3 dedicated inpatient APPs for GI services
• Spend approximately 6-8 hours in the hospital per day
• Must maintain Kentucky medical license (highly preferred) or IMLC consideration
• Board certification or board eligible status required
• ACLS and DEA certifications required
• Clean malpractice history highly preferred
• Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• Coverage needed ASAP and ongoing until permanent replacement found

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
