Specialty: Gastroenterologist
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Shift Details: Monday-Thursday 7a-7p, Friday 7a-5p. Opportunity for night and weekend call, 7p-7a and Fri 5p-Monday 7a.
Schedule: Inpatient consults, endoscopy lab and night/weekend call
Work Details:
• Support Staff: 4 Physicians (1 out), 2 inpatient APP, and 4 outpatient APPs
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Prefer fulltime but can look at PRN. Will consider weekend only.
• Patients per day: Weekday: 7 Weekend: 10
• Patient Population/Age: all ages
• Department Description: The coverage need is for a GI locum to round on the inpatient service, with weekday support of an inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP), complete consults and inpatient follow ups; respond to calls from the Emergency Department (ED); perform GI procedures in the Endoscopy lab for inpatients and take overnight weeknight calls from the ED (Monday-Thursday 7p-7a). Opportunity for weekend call starting Friday at 5pm – Monday at 7am; this includes onsite rounding on the inpatient consult service on Saturday & Sunday for both BJSPH and PW; taking ED call; performing any emergent procedures in the Endoscopy lab. Providers will be required to cover both Progress West Hospital and Barnes-Jewish St. Peter’s. They are 10 miles apart

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• License Required: Active MO license required. Will not look at non-licensed candidates at this time. IMLC candidates must have license in hand at time of presentation.
• DEA: Required
• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
Credentialing timeline: 60-90 days.
