• Location: Suburb or St. Louis
• Target Start: May
• Length of commitment: 3-6 months with the option to extend
• Shift Details: Monday-Thursday (7a-7p), Friday (7a-5p). Opportunity for night and weekend call, (7p-7a) and Fri (5p) -Monday (7a).
• Schedule: Inpatient consults, endoscopy lab and night/weekend call
• Support Staff: 4 Physicians, 2 inpatient APP, and 4 outpatient APPs
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Prefer fulltime but will consider weekend only.
• Patients per day: Weekday: 7 Weekend: 10
• Patient Population/Age: all ages
• Department Description: Will round on the inpatient service, with weekday support of an inpatient APP, complete consults and inpatient follow ups; respond to calls from the Emergency Department (ED); perform GI procedures in the Endoscopy lab for inpatients and take overnight weeknight calls from the ED (Monday-Thursday 7p-7a).
• Call: Opportunity for weekend call starting Friday at 5pm – Monday at 7am; this includes onsite rounding on the inpatient consult service on Saturday & Sunday for 2 locations- 10 miles apart
• EMR: Epic
• Special Procedures: perform GI procedures in the Endoscopy lab for inpatients
• Requirements: Board Certified, Active MO License, DEA, BLS, 2 years’ experience
• Travel, lodging and malpractice covered
