Practice Setting: Inpatient
Board Status: Certified and Eligible
Coverage Type: Call Only

Responsibilities:

Patient Care

Diagnose and treat patients with Gastroenterological conditions in an inpatient setting.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Utilize the Epic EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient information.

Call Coverage:

Participate in an on-call rotation to address Gastroenterology-related emergencies and consultations.

Provide telephonic or in-person support as needed during on-call hours.

Collaboration and Communication:

Communicate effectively with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Collaborate with colleagues to discuss complex cases and treatment plans.

Quality Assurance:

Adhere to established medical protocols and standards to maintain high-quality patient care.

Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Professional Development:

Stay abreast of advancements in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine through continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Ohio.

Proven experience in an inpatient setting, preferably with a focus on Gastroenterology.

Proficiency in using the Epic EMR system.
