Locum GI MD/DO need in Portsmouth, OH

ASAP Start

This will be an ongoing need!

LOA: Looking for a locum for 6 months

Credentialing: 4-5 weeks

Work Schedule:
Orientation 7 AM start
Monday – Friday 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM
Weekday call 7P- 7A – call during the week will be very minimal, not usually anything after 11pm. If they receive a call from the ED, they will only be required to come in if it is a food impaction or bleeding. Others can be added to the NP’s list for the following day
Weekend call (minimal) – they would like for the locum to also round on in-patients

Patient Volume: 12-15 procedures, plus possible add-ons (Add ons would only be about 1-2 patients if our perm gastro is not able to add them to his schedule)

General GI cases
EGD
EGD with banding
Foreign bodies & Dilations
Colonoscopies

EMR: Meditech

License: Active and clean OH

Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS, DEA, OH license, MUST be Board Certified

Olympus scopes and video equipment,
everything is monitored

New Provation Medical Documentation
System
(electronic medical record, sends orders to office, post op notes dictated and printed, consults to other physicians - helps with coding and billing).
The Provation system does interface with the Olympus system.
Olympus 190 adult and pediatric scopes
High resolution esophageal manometry
Bravo pH
Rapid Pillcam
5 large endo suites (former OR rooms)
