Advanced GI Locums – ERCP/EUS | 7-Day Blocks | Level I Trauma Center in Columbus, OH

Join a large, 400+ bed not-for-profit hospital in downtown Columbus, Ohio as an advanced therapeutic gastroenterology locum. This role blends procedure-heavy GI work (ERCP/EUS) with a predictable block schedule that makes it easy to plan your life around your assignments.

Position Highlights:
Schedule & Flexibility
o Start: January 2026
o Block model: Monday 7am – Monday 7am
o Daytime procedures and consults (~7a–3p), followed by weeknight beeper call
o 24-hour beeper call on weekends
o Seeking full-time coverage but open to physicians who can commit to ≥7 consecutive days per month
o Ideal for GIs wanting consistent recurring blocks while maintaining control over their calendar

Clinical Environment
o Work at an adult Level I trauma hospital with ~400+ beds and full subspecialty support
o Epic EMR
o Departmental focus on complex GI and biliary disease in a high-acuity setting
o Strong collaboration with hospitalists, ICU, and surgical teams

Procedures & Cases
o Advanced therapeutic GI:
 ERCP (logs required), EUS
 Esophageal/duodenal/luminal stent placement
o Core GI:
 High-volume EGD & colonoscopy (with polypectomy)
 APC, non-variceal hemostasis (upper & lower), PEG
 Esophageal dilation (balloon/bougie/Savary)
 Flexible sigmoidoscopy
o Motility & diagnostics: GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
o Adult patient population

Requirements
o Board-certified or truly board-eligible in Gastroenterology
o ERCP & EUS required with recent experience/logs
o Active OH license or eligibility; IMLC preferred
o DEA + ACLS
o Minimum 1 year post-fellowship experience and comfort with high-acuity inpatients
