Locums Gastroenterology Opportunity — ERCP & EUS Required

Assignment Details
Specialty: Gastroenterology
Start: January 2026
Contract: 1–2 weeks/month
Shift Times: 7:00 AM → 3:00 PM + night beeper call (Mon–Fri)
Weekends: 24-hour beeper call
Schedule Expectation: Prefer full-time coverage; will consider locums who can commit to minimum 7 consecutive days per month
Practice Environment
Setting: Hospital-based
Patient Population: Adult
Procedural Requirements (Minimum Recent Experience Required)
ERCP and EUS – Required
Additional procedural competencies include:
Esophageal/Duodenal/Luminal Stent Placement (20 cases in past 2 yrs)
APC (Argon Plasma Coagulation)
Biopsy of esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon
Colonoscopy w/ or w/o polypectomy
Documentation of 100 procedures in past 2 yrs at initial appointment, 150 at reappointment
Diagnostic/therapeutic EGD
Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary w/ guidewire)
Foreign body removal or polypectomy during EGD
Flexible sigmoidoscopy
GI motility studies + 24-hour pH monitoring
Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
PEG placement
Enteral alimentation
Candidate Requirements
Board Status: BC or truly BE in Gastroenterology
Licensure: Ohio license required
Willing to assist with licensure; IMLC preferred
Advanced skill level handling complex GI cases
- 1-2 weeks a month
- OH license or IMLC
- EUS and ERCP are required
