Gastroenterology Opportunity – OH
Start Date: June 15
Coverage Dates: June 15 (7:00 AM) – June 22 (7:00 AM)
Coverage Type: Locums

Schedule & Call:
· Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
· Night beeper call: Monday–Friday
· 24-hour beeper call: Weekends
· Full-time coverage needed
· Will consider physicians able to work a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month

Practice Setting:
· Hospital-based
· Level I Trauma Center
· 434-bed facility
· EMR: Epic

Work Details:
· Patient population: Adults
· Patient volume: TBD
· GI coverage for Level I hospital

Required Procedures & Skills:
· ERCP required (minimum 150 performed in the past 2 years)
· EUS required
· Esophageal, duodenal, and luminal stent placement (20 in past 2 years)
· Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
· Colonoscopy (documentation of 100 in past 2 years at initial appointment; 150 at reappointment)
· Argon plasma coagulation
· Biopsies throughout the GI tract
· Esophageal dilation (balloon/bougie/Savary)
· Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper & lower)
· PEG placement
· Flexible sigmoidoscopy
· GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
· Foreign body removal and polypectomy

Requirements:
· Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
· Active Ohio license required (willing to license; IMLC preferred)
· DEA required
· ACLS required
· Minimum of 1 year experience
· Moderate sedation competency required (education packet + post-test ≥80%)

Credentialing:
· Temporary privileges available
