Gastroenterology MD needed in PA

Job description

-Shift Details: 24 hour call coverage
-Schedule: Monday – Sunday 24-hour call coverage; 7a-7a
-Work Details:
• Support staff: Full hospital support staff; RN, NP, specialty backup, 24-hour anesthesia, etc.
• Patients per day: 12 on average in hospital
• Patient population/age: 18+
• Department description: Gastroenterology
• EMR: Cerner
• Special procedures: procedures only required for emergent situations; EUS and ERCP are preferred but not required.
• Practice Setting: Hospital
-Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• Active PA License required
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
-Credentialing Timeframe: Emergency privileges can be granted in a week or less with a clean file and someone willing to move very quickly.

• Short term contract
• Medical malpractice insurance provided
• Active PA license
