Gastroenterologist - Columbia, South Carolina

Job description

Aya Healthcare is seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist for scheduled weekday coverage in Columbia, South Carolina. This role is based in a well supported GI float pool setting, combining outpatient endoscopy with inpatient consults across two nearby facilities.

Work Details
• Outpatient endoscopy center with inpatient consults and potential procedures
• Floating between two facilities located directly across the street from one another
• Adult patient population
• Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
• Consults and inpatient rounding
• ERCP and EUS are not required
• No advanced procedures
• Patient volume approximately 3–5 per day with 2–3 procedures per week
• Epic documentation

Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 7:00a–5:00p (10 hour days)
• Outpatient procedures 7:30a–3:00p
• Inpatient rounding and procedures 3:00p–5:00p
• No call

Coverage Needs
• May 4–8: 2 providers
• May 11–15: 3 providers
• May 18–22: 3 providers
• May 25–29: 3 providers
• June 1–5: 2 providers

Requirements
• Board certified in Gastroenterology
• Active South Carolina license required
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• DEA required
• Minimum of 2 years experience
• Comfortable with upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and consults
• Epic experience required
