Facility in Salt Lake City, UT seeking Lucrative GI locums coverage Rates: On Call (Daily) $3250 (per 24 hours, includes 4 gratis hours) 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate: $3500 (per 24 hours, includes 4 gratis hours) Specialty: Gastroenterology Position: Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Start Date: November 1, 2024 End Date: Ongoing, with a minimum commitment of 7 shifts per month Position Overview: Facility is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist to provide 24-hour call coverage at both Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Jordan Valley West concurrently. The role involves inpatient, outpatient, and call duties with an emphasis on EGD procedures. Responsibilities: Work Hours: 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. A minimum of 7 shifts per month. Duties: Perform EGD (upper endoscopy) procedures. Manage overflow call needs, such as colonoscopies, scheduled for the following day in the clinic. Average 4-5 procedures per call shift. Handle clinic visits, procedures, and patient follow-ups. Setting: Inpatient and outpatient care. Trauma Level III facility. Support: Anesthesia support available in the OR. Support staff includes MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, and X-ray Tech. EMR System: EPIC, with required training modules to be completed before the first day. Qualifications: Board Status: Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Licensure: Active Utah medical license is highly preferred. Certifications: Active BLS certification required. Gastroenterology Fellowship required. Active DEA required for credentialing. Experience: Must have clean malpractice and background, with a self-inquiry NPDB report required. Experience with the required procedures, including EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, PEG tube placements, and enteroscopy. Facility Details: Trauma Level: III. EMR System: EPIC.
