Gastroenterology Opportunity – WA
Start Date: March 1, 2026
End Date: March 31, 2027
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Providers Needed: 1
Schedule & Coverage:
· Provider will work 2 weeks per month
· Primarily inpatient coverage
· Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
· Night call after shift and 24-hour call coverage on weekends
· If needed, provider may work 1 outpatient clinic day per week
(Provider would return to the hospital to complete the 12-hour shift)
· Overtime applies after 12 hours per day (not after 40 hours/week)
Practice Details:
· Practice setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
· Trauma level: III
· Adult patient population
· Average patients per shift: 1
· Department beds: 8
· EMR: Epic
Support Staff:
· 2 RNs
· 2 MAs
· 2 APPs (PA/NP)
Required Skills & Procedures:
· Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, cautery/laser of bleeders, foreign body removal, variceal injection)
· Esophageal dilation and manometry
· Small bowel biopsy
· Lower GI endoscopy
· Flexible sigmoidoscopy
· Colonoscopy (with biopsy and polypectomy)
Requirements:
· Board Certified in Gastroenterology
· Active Washington license or IMLC
· Comfortable with inpatient GI coverage
Credentialing:
· Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
