Gastroenterologist needed in Washington - 2 weeks per month - Long contract available

Job description

I am working with a hospital in Southeast Washington that is looking for a Gastroenterologist to help them out with coverage starting in March 2026 to March 2027. They are needing coverage for 2 weeks per month ongoing. The position is primarily inpatient and possibly 1 day per week in the outpatient clinic. No EUS or ERCP's!

Qualifications

· Board Certification: Yes
· License required: Licensed in WA or IMLC
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90
Working Hours

Start Date: 03-01-2026
End Date: 03-31-2027
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call
Schedule: Provider will be working 2 weeks per month, primarily inpatient 7a-7p with night call
after shift and 24-hour call coverage over the weekend. If needed, provider may work 1 day a
week in the outpatient clinic (Would return to hospital to finish 12 hour shift after clinic). OT to
apply after 12 hours per day, not 40 hours per week.
Skills

Skills required: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), with foreign body removal, With injection of varices), Esophageal dilatation/manometry, Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
