NEW NEW NEW!! General Surgery (NP or PA) in Maryland!

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3 Days per week
Work Details:
· Support staff: Other APPs on service, but in OR there will be RN's, Care Management and Gen Surg Residents
· Patients per day: 10-15
· Patient population/age: 18+yrs old
· Department description: if there’s a person in the ER going to the OR, they’ll get their patient information prepared. They have the OR doc’s numbers to call in if needed.
· EMR: Cerner
· Skills required: APP that is comfortable with surgical pathology that will be covering the patients admitted to the hospital overnight and doing any new consults coming in from the ER or inpatient. When not covering consults, they are responding to nursing calls, completing any surgery notes for patients that were admitted late in the night. Responding to any urgent codes on surgical patients. Must be comfy w/ basic skills like nose gauze and such and handle independently
