Job description

This locum tenens opportunity is seeking an experienced General Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide surgical support in a hospital-based setting in New York. The role focuses primarily on first-assist coverage in the OR with some inpatient floor responsibilities as needed.

You’ll work weekday day shifts with a predictable schedule, supporting general and robotic surgery cases. Weekend rounding or call may be required occasionally based on coverage gaps, though call needs are limited and clearly defined. This position is best suited for an NP with strong surgical experience who is comfortable both in the OR and managing post-operative inpatients.

This assignment offers a stable, longer-term locum option with a balanced mix of procedural and inpatient work.
